Sexy Courage

By Cindi Mosher

When I think of women with breast cancer, so many adjectives come to mind: brave, strong, courageous, tough, and heroic. When breast cancer arrives, it challenges you to the core. It’s bone rattling scary to get the diagnosis. There are so many decisions to be made and treatments to endure. The fight becomes a personal war.

The ability to feel sexual again is part of the war. It should be taken on just like the fight for life itself. Don’t let breast cancer make you feel less feminine. Love your body for supporting you through your fight. Maybe you look different at the end of the battle, but you have survived! Do what you have to do to feel sexy again. Wear a beautiful camisole (or not), turn out the lights, fire up the candles. Whichever of you initiates sex, join in like a fighter, determined to love again. You are a courageous, sexual woman.
