I love my online friends. Thanks to the Internet, I’ve had the honor and privilege of connecting with other cancer sisters and brothers from around the country and even the world.  But nothing beats getting to meet and spend face-to-face time with them … especially if you are in a tropical location!

So imagine my joy and surprise when I was invited to participate in a Breast Thriver  panel discussion as part of the eighth annual 2014 Breast Thriver Cruise sailing April 26, 2014, from Ft. Lauderdale to Belize and Cozumel! Sponsored by the awesome Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine, it’s a five-day cruise, sailing out on on Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas, the second largest cruise ship in the world! Beverly Vote, Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine’s publisher says she believes the upcoming cruise will be the largest and best ever.

“The cruise is a time to celebrate our lives and our milestones,” she says. “We get caught up with tolerating hardships; we forget to celebrate. The cruise brings together people from all over the country, and beyond. We have a group from Grand Cayman who come every year. As I see others spirits lift; it lifts mine.”

In addition to the Thriver panel discussion, workshops include:

•    Makeover Fashion Show
•    Financial Empowerment after Breast Cancer
•    Beauty and Fashion on a Budget
•    The Thriving Caregiver™

And of course, there will be the usual fun of cruising, including fabulous food, entertainment, excursions and pampering to make you feel like royalty. Prices per person start at $497 per person, plus taxes and gratuities. The cost does not include travel to Ft. Lauderdale. Scholarships for stage IV survivors are available. I would love to meet you on the ship!
